Bulletproof Dirty Chai | Adventures in Pinterest

A few months back, I did a 30 days of tea challenge. A lot of people suggested that I try chai in my quest to drink as many different kinds of tea as possible but I really didn’t want to. I’ve had it before and never really thought I liked it.

Then my friend Lynnee over at Club Chica Circle posted this recipe for Quick Fix Chai Tea Mix and I was curious because I love all those spices in other things. Around the same time the barista at Starbucks (or was it my friend Wendy?) recommended adding a shot of espresso to a chai tea latte, aka dirty chai, to offset the spicy and sweet, I was sold. I’ve been drinking dirty chai ever since.

And then I had the best idea of all. Lynnee’s chai spice mix + coffee + butter = bulletproof dirty chai.

Best. Drink. Ever.

The only difference between the chai spices I’ve been using and the ones in Lynnee’s recipe is that I left out the sugar.

Look for Kerrygold. Most stores will have that – a lot of times it’s randomly in the deli section, though. Grassfed isn’t required but it’s definitely better for you + tastes delicious.

This sounds like an interesting drink. I have not thought of mixing the chai spices with coffee. I am going to try this soon.
