A few months ago, Sal and I decided that we wanted to start taking the kids to church on Sundays. And now you might be thinking, “One more thing? Really?”. But I think we had come to a point in our lives when we felt we both needed a little grounding and some spirituality. And what kid DOESN’T need that, right?
On the advice of friends, we landed in a church that was an absolutely perfect fit for us. Great music, down to earth leadership, and a great kids program. So church at 9 am on Sundays quickly became a welcome part of our routine.

But here’s the thing. For two hours on Sunday, we are absorbed in what goes on at church. The kids learn bible verses and discuss the theme of the week. Sal and I whisper back and forth during sermons about how much certain topics speak to us. But then we go back to our day, our week, and not much else is said about church that week.
