Before I get into this fun new show we’ve been watching, do we all have ? I mean, please tell me that you do because otherwise you need to stop what you’re doing and sign up. It will change your life. Seriously. Free two day shipping, access to free movies and music and a you get to borrow a Kindle book each month. Pretty awesome, right?
So, that said, here’s the point of this story. The boys and I have a new favorite show that’s available only through . Annedroids is a science-based, action adventure series that follows eleven-old genius and kid-scientist Anne, who has invented and built her own amazing androids, and her friends and kid assistants Nick and Shania. Together the kid trio make amazing scientific discoveries while undertaking the biggest experiment of all – growing up.
My boys are currently fascinated by all things science and tech so I knew immediately that this show would be a hit with them. Robots and cool things built from miscellaneous discarded items is right up their alley. They get sucked in every time we sit down to watch it. I’ve even caught them pretend playing the characters from time to time, constantly seeking out things to build with.
Annedroids, like all of Amazon’s children’s programs, is designed to develop creative thinking in children and has been tested to ensure they achieve this goal. Amazon’s goal is to inspire lifelong learners and provide children with the skills that will help them find personal and professional satisfaction in their future. That part is my absolute favorite!
I love that this show is just a tiny bit above their level and NOT a cartoon. I think it’s a perfect transitional program for them and (bonus!) it’s not loud and obnoxious which is a mother’s dream. And the content is great. Just the right amount of science woven into the story to be useful but unobtrusive. Love it!
If you’ve got kids in this age range (or even a little older, really), you’re definitely gonna want to check out Annedroids. It bet it will quickly become a favorite in your house, too.
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
