In case you’re looking for me, I’m hanging out over at Club Chica Circle again – this time with a turban headband tutorial, complete with a sweet little crochet bow!
You might remember that I shared this fun crochet wrap bracelet tutorial over there last month. Did you make one? If so, I’d love for you to post a pic to my or tag me in a photo on Instagram!
For that first project, we used the simplest of crochet stitches – the chain stitch. I clicked it up a notch this time and added a single crochet which is the next most basic crochet stitch. Don’t under estimate the power of a single crochet, though, ah-mazng things can be made using just this one stitch. I mean, whole afghans are made in single crochet all the time so it’s a great stitch to learn.
BUT, if you’re not into crochet (or bows for that matter), you can still use this turban headband tutorial to create something awesome for yourself. I used an upcycled t-shirt to make the one in the tutorial – so you can imagine that the possibilities for these are endless. Printed tee? Fabric styled with acrylic paint? Tie dye? So fun. I even made one for me which I have been wearing pretty much non-stop because my hair is bugging me this summer.
I can’t wait to see what you all come up with using this tutorial. I imagine it’s going to be awesome. And the best part about this project? It takes very little in the way of supplies. There is a tiny bit of stitching required to size down the t-shirt but you could totally use fabric glue instead. Other than that, it’s likely you have everything that’s needed right there in your house. I’m telling you – so easy!
