This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Dove, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #LoveYourCurls #pmgdove http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
My curly hair is probably one of my more defining characteristics. I wasn’t born with it, though. In fact, I wasn’t born with much hair at all. My dad says he used to tape bows to my head just so people would know I was a girl. Hmph.
As I got older, my hair began to grow in spirals rather than straight down. And it was cute and fairly manageable as long as it was cut in a cute shape. A hair dresser once told my mom that if she let my hair get long, it would lose the curl. HA! That couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Like most people with curls probably do, I went through a rather long awkward hair stage and had A LOT of bad haircuts. It wasn’t until my mid-twenties that I really got a handle on my hair and learned to love it. My hair and I have kind of an understanding these days and I’m glad about that.
With all that said, I’ve gotta say that I’m thrilled to have discovered the new Dove Love Your Curls Emojis – the first emoji keyboard designed to represent curly girls everywhere. I mean, let’s be honest, we are all ALL using emojis these days – I read somewhere that 74% of people use emojis every day. Why not use some that actually look like me?
