I love hosting bunco night with the girls but sometimes it’s hard to come up with a theme that hasn’t been done over and over — especially when your turn falls in one of those non-holiday months. This time around, I was inspired by the Cubero Cigars I saw a while back.
I generally try to come up with some snacks and a themed drink for my bunco nights. In the past, I’ve done pajamas and a fall theme but this time I went for a more sophisticated feel. For snacks, I did a salami, cheese and olive tray along with my signature app – Pioneer Woman’s Mystery Rolls.
For drinks, I used a bourbon cocktail recipe I found on Pinterest (where else?) but changed it up a bit for the season. It’s called a Berry Whiskey Smash and has Maker’s Mark, lemon simple syrup, a dash of bitter and some muddled berries. For this one, I subbed cranberry for the other berries. Because, you know, it’s December.
And because it’s always fun to take a little something away from a party, I made some fun goody bags for my guests to enjoy.
Even if you aren’t a smoker, these little cigars are kind of fun. They come in flavors like Sweet, Wine and Mocha. I bought a few of each to make up my goody bags. To sign up for free coupons and to find a retailer near you visit Cubero Cigars website here.
You can complete this fun bunco theme with these printable table numbers and score cards. Use Kraft Paper Cardstock to make them look a little vintage-y like the cigars and bourbon. Most importantly, have a great time!
